Synopsis
A collection of seven novellas and novelettes set on the giant planet Majipoor, spanning different eras of the world's history, including stories about a sorcerer's apprentice, a marketplace, the making of magic in the city of Sippulgar, and the tomb of an ancient ruler. The stories stand independently, each exploring a different corner of Majipoor's society and history.
Where it sits
- Universe: Majipoor Cycle
- Series: Tales of Majipoor ; position 1 of 1 in the series' recorded order
- Author: Robert Silverberg
Notes
- From the series record (Tales of Majipoor): A standalone 2013 collection of 7 novelettes/novellas, published well after both main cycles concluded -- peripheral short fiction, not the primary reading unit for any part of this universe's Core Canon (unlike Majipoor Chronicles, which IS part of the Lord Valentine Cycle's own numbered sequence).
