Synopsis
Talking to Dragons is the fourth published book of the Enchanted Forest Chronicles but the final one chronologically. Sixteen-year-old Daystar is sent out of his home into the Enchanted Forest by his mother, Cimorene, and given only a mysterious sword and instructions not to return until he understands why he was sent away. On the road he meets Shiara, a fire witch with her own troubles, and a talking golden lizard, and the two young companions travel together through the forest's stranger corners. Their path leads them toward Mendanbar, the King of the Enchanted Forest, who has been held prisoner in his own castle for about sixteen years behind a magical shield raised by hostile wizards.
