Synopsis
The Battle for Skandia continues the Ranger's Apprentice series as Will and Evanlyn remain enslaved in Skandia while Halt and Horace press on with their rescue mission to reach them. When the two storylines finally converge and the group is reunited, they discover that the Temujai, a fierce nomadic people thought defeated decades earlier, are massing to invade Skandia, threatening the Skandians who had held Will and Evanlyn captive. Faced with a common enemy far more dangerous than their earlier captors, Will, Halt, Horace, and their Skandian allies must set aside old grievances and work together to defend Skandia's coastline against the coming assault. As the Temujai forces advance, Will draws on the Ranger training he has continued to develop even in captivity, while the group works to rally the scattered Skandian defenders in time to mount a meaningful resistance against the invasion.
