Synopsis
Bringing the Drowning Empire trilogy to a close, The Bone Shard War opens with Emperor Lin Sukai dangerously short of allies despite her earlier victory. Her own governors plot treason against her while the Shardless Few renew their hostilities, and matters worsen when her old nemesis Nisong is revealed to have joined forces with the rogue Alanga known as Ragan. Facing threats on multiple fronts to both her rule and the empire's survival, Lin sets out on a quest to locate seven legendary swords from ancient legend before her enemies can claim them, believing they may be the key to securing the dynasty's future. With political treachery closing in at home and powerful external forces gathering against her, Lin's success or failure in this search will determine whether the Sukai dynasty endures.
