Synopsis
Ten-year-old Kinjal and his twin sister Kiya are pulled into a magical realm called the Sky Kingdom after their dog vanishes and two winged horses, pakkhiraj, appear. The horses need help because the bees, and the nectar the horses depend on, are disappearing. Kiya brings her skill at science and Kinjal brings his love of books and language, and together the twins set out to uncover a conspiracy that, as the publisher puts it, goes all the way to the top of the kingdom. They move between their ordinary home in New Jersey and a world drawn from Bengali stories.
