Synopsis
In late August 1892, Sophia Tims returns home carrying a map that may lead her to her missing parents. While she searches, New Occident has gone to war, and a red fog of war is rising over the country. Her uncle Shadrack, the best cartologer in the nation, is pressed by the government to draw maps for the battlefield. Sophia and Theo are pulled between the search for her family and a conflict that threatens the future of New Occident, in the last book of the trilogy.
