Synopsis

Eoduin, a beautiful young woman, is abducted by a vampyre while out gathering flowers with her slave, Aeriel, and is carried off to be the vampyre's bride. Aeriel, determined to avenge her mistress, returns to the peak from which Eoduin was stolen and waits for the vampyre to return. He takes her too, but not to be his bride: in his mountain castle she must spin clothes out of her own emotions for his thirteen demented wives, wraiths whose souls he stole, and care for the starving gargoyles he keeps as guard dogs. Unable to tell which wraith is Eoduin, she learns to love them all, and must choose between destroying her vampyre master for his evil deeds or saving him for his beauty and the spark of goodness she has seen in him.
