Synopsis

Dulkancellin, a warrior from the Husihuilke people at the southern edge of the Fertile Lands, is summoned to a great council in the distant city of Beleram after strange omens and ancient manuscripts warn of ships approaching from across the sea. The messenger Cucub carries the summons across the land, gathering Dulkancellin and representatives of the Fertile Lands' many peoples, who barely trust one another, into a single uneasy assembly. There they learn that the invasion is led by Misaianes, son of Death, bearer of an ancient and undying hatred toward their world. Faced with a threat none of them can face alone, the assembled peoples must set aside old rivalries and begin to forge the alliances and magic needed to defend their homeland and its way of life from the coming war.

The first volume was published in English translation (Atlantic Books, 2013) as The Days of the Deer; an independently confirmed English translation date for the second and third volumes could not be established and is left unrecorded rather than guessed.
