Synopsis

The Dragon of Jin-Sayeng, published by K.S. Villoso in 2021, concludes the Chronicles of the Wolf Queen. Queen Talyien returns home to find her nation more fractured than ever: war looms on the horizon, her young son remains out of her reach, and the warlords whose support she needs openly despise her. A cursed foreign prince complicates matters further, threatening invasion unless she agrees to marry him, while ancient secrets left behind by her father, the warlord Yeshin, prove dangerous enough on their own to bring Jin-Sayeng to ruin. Beneath these political threats, a darker magical force is stirring, tearing rifts in the sky that promise to unleash chaos and devastation across the land. Talyien must decide whether to keep running from her birthright and her father's legacy or finally embrace them, with her nation's survival resting on that choice.

Notes

  • From the series record (Chronicles of the Wolf Queen): A single continuous trilogy following Queen Talyien of Jin-Sayeng. Publication years follow the trilogy's wide, traditionally-published Orbit edition; the author had earlier self-published the same three novels in 2017-2018 under slightly different titles/text before the Orbit re-edit, a detail noted here rather than silently resolved.

Publication order and internal chronology are tracked as two separate orderings and are never conflated: a book's place in one says nothing about its place in the other.

  • Publication order, within the series Chronicles of the Wolf Queen: position 3 of 3: previous The Ikessar Falcon (2020)
