Synopsis
The Dragonet Prophecy opens the Wings of Fire series by introducing five young dragons, Clay, Tsunami, Glory, Starflight, and Sunny, who have been raised in secret since hatching by a group called the Talons of Peace. The dragonets have been sheltered underground and told since birth that they are destined to fulfill an ancient prophecy that will end the brutal War of SandWing Succession, a conflict that erupted twenty years earlier after Queen Oasis was killed and her three daughters each claimed the SandWing throne for themselves. Restless under the constant secrecy and strict rules of their guardians, the five dragonets begin to question the life that has been chosen for them and the destiny they have been told they must accept. When circumstances force them to flee their hidden home, they set out across the war-torn continent of Pyrrhia, discovering more about their own identities along the way.
