Synopsis
The third and final novel in the Scapegracers series finds Sideways and her coven in their senior year of high school, as they become entangled in a formal witch trial. The wider community of covens convenes to judge Madeline Kline, the witch who had previously wronged the group, leaving Sideways and her friends to decide whether they are willing to help someone who once harmed them. At the same time, college acceptance letters begin arriving, raising the question of whether the coven will stay together or scatter to different schools and different covens. The stakes rise further when witchfinders, the group's recurring fundamentalist enemies, arrive in town and pose a direct threat to every witch nearby, forcing the friends to weigh loyalty, justice, and their future together against a mounting external danger.
