Synopsis
The Fox picks up several years after Inda's exile from his homeland before his thirteenth birthday, a banishment that placed him first aboard a pirate ship and then, through his own talent for command, at the head of his own mercenary marine company protecting merchant shipping from piracy. Unaware that his years at sea have made him a formidable and respected leader, Inda is unaware too of a far greater change back home: the sudden death of his older brother Tanrid has left him, the exiled second son, as heir to his homeland, a position his desperate parents are now trying to find him to fill.
