Synopsis

The Green Man's Gift is the fifth novel in the Green Man series and opens with a teenage boy found in a disturbed state in Snowdonia, talking about beautiful women and fairy feasts. While the authorities assume drugs are responsible, local wise women suspect something more serious and call on Daniel Mackmain, the dryad's son, to look into it. The investigation takes Dan into unfamiliar Welsh mountains, well outside his usual territory, where the beings living within the hollow hills conceal their true intentions behind half-truths. Working mostly alone in this new setting, Dan has to decide how much he is willing to let the people close to him risk on his behalf as the danger of the case becomes clearer.
