Synopsis
The Divide has been flooded, at great cost of life, human and otherwise. Far from home, Sal, Shilly and Skender set out to find the source of the deluge in the legendary Hanging Mountains, travelling in a magical ship of bone, and meet new threats and new tests of their friendship in the fog forests of the Panic. Caught in a conflict between two long-forgotten civilisations, they struggle to tell ally from foe. Behind them comes the Homunculus, the vessel and prison of the Castillo twins, the only survivors of the catastrophe that changed the world a thousand years ago, and in the heart of the mountains something far darker is stirring.
