Synopsis
Having found shelter with the Stone Mages only to be betrayed, Sal and Shilly are handed over for judgement by the Sky Wardens. Joined by a third fugitive, Skender, they are taken to the remote island home of the feared Haunted City, where Sal’s great-aunt, the Syndic, is determined to keep him under control even if it means imprisoning him. Greater threats are stirring: the ghosts that live behind the city’s ancient glass are restless, a golem will stop at nothing, not even murder, to make Sal do its bidding, and the legendary Weavers, if they exist at all, seem to have plans of their own. The final book of the Change trilogy won the Aurealis Award for best fantasy novel.
