Synopsis
Noel Kottler, a wealthy industrialist, is building a replica of Stonehenge on a mountaintop in the Appalachians of North Carolina as the centrepiece of a new tourist attraction. Strange events trouble the construction, which Kottler dismisses as having no supernatural cause. John, a mountain balladeer with a silver-stringed guitar and a feeling for the supernatural, believes that the stone circle has awakened an ancient evil. He is also affected personally, because his beloved Evadare is threatened. As the project nears completion, John works to protect the mountain people from old spirits, a pack of werewolves and members of spiritualist churches, all gathered around the new stones.
