Synopsis

John, the wandering balladeer with a silver-stringed guitar, is hired by the United States government to look into rumours of devil worship and satanic rites in Wolver, an isolated mountain community that outsiders rarely visit. He travels there to find a town with an unhealthy secret and a beautiful, charming witch at the head of a coven. The villagers are friendly on the surface, but John soon sees that they want something from him. Armed only with his guitar, his knowledge of folk magic and his own conscience, he has to find out what is going on in Wolver and decide whether to join the coven or stand against it.
