Synopsis

As the final installment of the series, the story works toward resolving the major threads left open by the resistance against Albae rule, with the dwarf kingdoms and their allies striving toward restoration and lasting peace across Girdlegard. Former enemies begin to seek reconciliation after generations of conflict, while the realm's magical foundations, disrupted by the events of earlier books, start to stabilize. Leadership transitions unfold among the dwarven clans as a new generation works to envision a united future for their people after centuries of war and occupation. The book follows these closing threads as the long saga that began with Tungdil's original quest moves toward its conclusion.
