Synopsis
The Hidden City concludes David Eddings's Tamuli trilogy, following the events of the earlier volume The Shining Ones. The conflict reaches a crisis point when Queen Ehlana is abducted by agents of the enemy sorcerer-god Cyrgon, who demands the Bhelliom in exchange for her safe return, forcing Sparhawk to weigh the fate of his wife against the power of the artifact he carries. Fully accepting his prophesied role as Anakha, the mortal champion destined to oppose Cyrgon, Sparhawk allies himself with the Troll Gods and the Younger Gods of the Tamul Empire in preparation for a final confrontation. As the group tracks Cyrgon toward a legendary hidden city, they brace for a climactic struggle in which Cyrgon is expected to unleash forces even older and more dangerous than himself against Sparhawk and his companions.
