Synopsis
In Chivial, Sir Wolf is known as the King's Killer. After years of serving a king he doubts and distrusts, Wolf wants a quiet life. That hope ends when a royal mistress is abducted from a fortress. Wolf sets out to find her and is joined by an inquisitor and his troubled younger brother, Sir Lyne, a disgraced Blade. The three clash with one another and with the magically empowered kidnappers, and their arguments and fights challenge Wolf's views on life and duty. Their search eventually uncovers revelations that could expose unwelcome truths about Chivial itself.
