Synopsis
Set twenty years after the events of the Prince of Nothing trilogy, The Judging Eye finds Anasûrimbor Kellhus now ruling the Three Seas as Aspect-Emperor, having launched the Great Ordeal, a vast military campaign marching against the ancient Consult and its stronghold at Golgotterath. Away from the campaign, the exiled sorcerer Drusas Achamian pursues his own long-obsessive investigation into Kellhus's true origins and the truth behind his rise to power, aided by companions including Kellhus's own step-daughter Mimara. As the Great Ordeal advances into increasingly hostile and unfamiliar territory, Achamian's separate quest for the truth runs on a collision course with the empire Kellhus has built on the foundations laid by the earlier war.
