Synopsis

The Last Olympian is the fifth and final novel in Rick Riordan's original Percy Jackson & the Olympians series. With the Titan lord Kronos marching his army toward Manhattan and most of the Olympian gods away fighting a separate, distracting threat, Camp Half-Blood's demigods find themselves largely alone in defending the city and Olympus itself. Percy Jackson, now sixteen and facing a prophecy that suggests this may be his final battle, takes command of the young defenders as Kronos's forces close in, while questions swirl about which side certain demigods, including some Percy once called friends, will ultimately choose. With the fate of Western civilization hanging in the balance and Mount Olympus itself under direct threat, Percy leads his friends in a desperate last stand through the streets of Manhattan.

Publication order and internal chronology are tracked as two separate orderings and are never conflated: a book's place in one says nothing about its place in the other.
