Synopsis
Set a thousand years after the main Sword of Truth series, a descendant of Jennsen Rahl is harassed by warriors connected to that ancient universe and receives help from a sorceress navigating threats from the distant past.
Where it sits
- Universe: Sword of Truth
- Series: not part of a registered series (standalone work within its universe)
- Author: Terry Goodkind
Notes
- Contemporary-thriller-framed standalone; connection to the D'Haran world is confirmed but tenuous (an implied descendant of a Sword of Truth character, revealed near the book's end), registered as Expanded with this caveat rather than excluded, per the project's 'preserve the full work' principle.
Neighbouring works
Publication order and internal chronology are tracked as two separate orderings and are never conflated: a book's place in one says nothing about its place in the other.
- Publication order, within Sword of Truth (standalone work): position 13 of 27: previous Confessor (2007) · next The Omen Machine (2011)
