Synopsis
The Legacy, the first book of the Legacy of the Drow quartet, opens in the aftermath of the Icewind Dale Trilogy, as Wulfgar and Catti-brie prepare for their wedding while Drizzt Do'Urden returns from a visit to Lady Alustriel in Silverymoon. Beneath the surface calm, tension is building: Wulfgar grows increasingly possessive as his tribe settles and prospers at Settlestone, straining his bond with Catti-brie, while the halfling Regis conceals troubles of his own. The real danger, though, comes from Menzoberranzan, where Drizzt's sister Vierna has set out to recapture her renegade brother, believing his return would win her House the full favor of the drow goddess Lolth. Enlisting mercenary allies to hunt him down, Vierna's pursuit threatens to bring the dangers of the Underdark crashing directly into the newly settled peace of Mithral Hall and its companions.
