Synopsis
The Nameless One opens the Cade saga, the fourth trilogy of the Edge Chronicles. Cade Quarter is forced to flee after his uncle, the infamous descender Nate Quarter, returns from beyond the Edge and draws the Academy of Flight's retaliation down on his known supporters, Cade among them. Penniless and with nowhere safe to turn, Cade's only option is to stow away aboard the Xanth Filatine, a sky-ship bound for the city of Hive. Once aboard and later within Hive itself, he must contend with thieving goblins, brutal skymarshals and the looming threat of "skyfiring," a danger that hangs over anyone associated with his uncle's heresy, as he tries to stay hidden and find some way to build a life beyond the Academy's reach.
