Synopsis
This novel centers on Daemonar Yaslana, a Warlord Prince who has long acted as protector for his generation of the family. When a young Eyrien Queen emotionally wounds his sister Titian, Daemonar's fierce response draws the attention of Witch, a secretive and immensely powerful Queen whose existence is known to almost no one. As unsettling changes ripple through the family, Daemonar begins to suspect that an old, corrupting taint within the Blood may be resurfacing after being thought gone. Working alongside his father and uncle, he sets out to trace the source of this reawakening evil, a search that grows serious enough that Daemon Sadi, the High Lord of Hell, may ultimately be forced into a devastating decision that could affect the whole family.
