Synopsis
The Right Hand of God concludes the Fire of Heaven trilogy, bringing to a head the invasion and the wider conflict set in motion in Across the Face of the World and developed through In the Earth Abides the Flame. The surviving members of the original group of villagers and their allies, having carried word of the threat across the world and endured the widening war depicted in the second volume, face the trilogy's climactic confrontation with the forces that captured Mahnum and his wife at the outset. As the final installment, the novel draws together the political, personal and mythic threads Kirkpatrick built up across the first two books toward the trilogy's resolution.
