Synopsis

Prince Tristan and his twin sister Shailiha are the Chosen Ones, prophesied to unite the opposing magics of the dark Vagaries and the benevolent Vigors, but before they can fulfil their destiny they must search out the mysterious Scrolls of the Ancients, which hold the key to great mystical secrets. They are not alone in the quest: Krassus, a devoted servant of the Vagaries, has found one of the Scrolls and gained ominous powers from it, and his demonic slavers are scouring the coast of Eutracia for captives to take to the island fortress of the Citadel. Aided by the pirate Tyranny, Tristan and Shailiha must find the one man whose blood holds magic almost as potent as their own before Krassus turns him into a weapon of evil.

Publication order and internal chronology are tracked as two separate orderings and are never conflated: a book's place in one says nothing about its place in the other.
