Synopsis
The Sea of Time opens with Jame arriving at the Southern Host, the Kencyrath's main military force, stationed in the wealthy southern city of Kothifir on the world of Rathilien. After two years spent in the cold and often grim north, Jame finds Kothifir alive with unfamiliar magic, strange customs, and clashing guild masters, all under the rule of an immortal god-king named Krothen, whose divine authority is now being challenged by ambitious relatives. Jame must navigate deadly hazing from senior cadets, rumors of caravans that somehow cross time to reach the ruined city of Langadine, and the shadowy activities of a fanatical cult, all while her brother Tori faces old enemies and new dangers back home.
