Synopsis
In The Seeing Stone, the Grace family continues settling into the Spiderwick Estate after largely dismissing the warnings contained in the field guide Jared found in the previous book, a decision that proves costly when young Simon is abducted by goblins drawn to the estate's hidden magic. With Simon missing and their mother unaware of the danger's true nature, Jared and his sister Mallory, now able to see the faerie world around them for the first time, must find a way to track down and rescue their brother before the goblins can harm him. Their search leads them to an unlikely ally, a cantankerous hobgoblin named Hogsqueal, whose knowledge of the estate's hidden world becomes essential to the rescue.
