Synopsis
Ligea Gayed has been lied to once too often. Now she has turned against her former employer, the secretive Brotherhood of the Tyrans Empire, and she is back in Tyr, home of the Brotherhood and of the despotic ruler Bator Korbus, once her own home too, to raise a rebellion at the heart of the Empire. The second book of the Mirage Makers picks up where Heart of the Mirage left off and, as a reviewer noted, moves the action from the occupied land of Kardiastan to the Empire's capital, with shades of a war of independence in place of the first book's desert. Published in Australia by HarperCollins in January 2007.
