Synopsis
The Silver Crown is the third novel in the Guardians of the Flame series. Karl Cullinane and Walter Slovotsky leave their settlement to continue their campaign against slavery across the wider world, with Karl relying on his telepathic bond with Ellegon, a great flying dragon, to track threats and coordinate their small band. Their travels bring them to the aid of a royal family whose kingdom stands on the edge of invasion by slave-raiding forces allied with the guilds the former gamers have already made enemies of. Defending the threatened throne draws Karl's people into open warfare far from the safety of their own settlement, testing both their combat skill and the alliances they have built since arriving in this world.
