Synopsis
The Sorcerer of the Wildeeps, published by Kai Ashante Wilson in 2015, is a science fantasy novella following Captain Isa and the sorcerer Demane, hired together to protect a merchant caravan on a dangerous journey through the Wildeeps, a wild forest region where multiple dimensions of reality overlap and bleed into one another. Both men carry supernatural abilities inherited from divine ancestry, powers each keeps carefully hidden from the rest of the caravan along with the romantic relationship that has grown between them, in a world where neither disclosure would be safe to make openly. As the caravan pushes deeper into the Wildeeps' increasingly strange and hostile terrain, Isa and Demane must decide how much of their true nature they are willing to reveal in order to protect the people traveling with them.
