Synopsis
Nicholas Flamel watched his beloved Paris crumble as Dee and Machiavelli fought to take the twins, and he played his own part in its destruction. Now, with Sophie and Josh Newman showing every sign of being the twins of prophecy, Flamel must keep them and the last pages of the Codex out of the hands of the Dark Elders. While armies from the Shadowrealms gather and Machiavelli travels to Alcatraz to kill Perenelle Flamel, the twins accompany the Alchemyst to England in search of the one being who might teach Sophie the next elemental magic: Gilgamesh the King, who is said to be utterly insane.
