Synopsis
John Gregory and Tom Ward are drawn to Todmorden, a town in the east of the County where something is badly wrong. People there are living in fear, and the old stories of the place hint at a creature that was bound long ago. Gregory is injured and Tom must carry more of the burden than he is used to, while Alice remains a worry for them both. Their work uncovers a vampire god, Siscoi, whose power has been kept in check for generations and who is now close to being freed. Tom must confront a being far beyond any boggart or ghost, while the larger struggle against the Fiend draws steadily nearer.
