Synopsis

The third volume of The Fall of Shannara finds the Four Lands still reeling from the Skaar invasion led by King Cor d'Amphere, whose daughter Ajin d'Amphere commands his forces in the field while growing closer to the swordsman Dar Leah. The druid Drisker Arc has vanished after being drawn into the deadly trap set by the rogue druid Clizia Porse, who schemes to claim the Druid order's stronghold, Paranor, for herself. Left to fend for herself, Tarsha Kaynin, a young Wishsong wielder and Drisker's student, must search for her missing mentor while also reckoning with her unstable brother Tavo, whose own dangerous magic threatens to spiral out of control. Across the Four Lands, druids, elves, and other factions maneuver against the Skaar advance and against Clizia's hidden agenda, as old magic and new threats converge on Paranor.

Publication order and internal chronology are tracked as two separate orderings and are never conflated: a book's place in one says nothing about its place in the other.
