Synopsis

Arriving after another extended gap in the series, this installment introduces new challenges that grow directly out of the consequences of earlier events in Girdlegard. The dwarf kingdoms undergo a period of political reorganization as their old structures are tested by the changes that have swept the land, while mysterious forces originating from beyond Girdlegard's borders begin to threaten its stability once again. New alliances form and old conflicts resurface as the various peoples of the land try to adapt to a reshaped political landscape. The story follows the dwarves and their allies as they work to secure their place in this changed world against emerging outside threats.
