Synopsis
The Two Swords, the third and final book of the Hunter's Blades Trilogy, opens with King Obould's orc army having driven the Companions of the Hall back to the very gates of Mithral Hall, forcing Bruenor Battlehammer and his dwarven clan into a last-ditch defensive stand against overwhelming numbers. Still separated from his friends, Drizzt Do'Urden, together with the elf Innovindil, undertakes a mission to recover a pegasus that Obould's forces have captured, even as he is unexpectedly and gradually reunited with companions he had believed lost in the earlier fighting. As the siege of Mithral Hall intensifies and old bonds are tested and restored, the novel follows Drizzt, Bruenor, Catti-brie, and their allies as they work to turn back the orc invasion and determine what future, if any, awaits an uneasy peace between their peoples.
