Synopsis

The White Serpent is set nearly a century after the peace established by the original Storm Lord in the first novel, and follows Rehger, a former slave who has become a gladiator, as he encounters the mysterious and powerful woman Aztira in the city of Saardsimney. An earthquake separates the two before their connection can be resolved, and Rehger sets out on a quest to find Aztira again and understand the true nature of what binds them, a search that eventually leads him toward the legendary city of the Amanackire, a people tied to the divine bloodline that has run through the trilogy since Raldnor's story began. The novel closes the Wars of Vis trilogy by returning, generations later, to the world and mythic undercurrents first established in The Storm Lord.
