Synopsis
Anackire is set twenty years after the events of The Storm Lord and follows several interconnected storylines across the kingdoms neighboring Dorthar, expanding the trilogy's scope beyond Raldnor's own story. Its central conflict centers on Prince Kesarh, whose ruthless political maneuvering drives his rise toward greater power, set against Raldanash, a rival lord trying to preserve peace and protect his own domain from the instability Kesarh's ambitions are creating. Running beneath the mortal political intrigue is the continuing, more subtle influence of divine forces on the affairs of Vis, hinted at through the goddess Anackire of the novel's title, as the trilogy widens from the personal quest of the first book into a broader web of dynastic rivalry and religious undercurrent.
