Synopsis
In a land modelled on an eighteenth-century German state and scarred by the grim relics of a long-ago war, sorcery has been outlawed, and people consumed by the fear of magic send anyone suspected of it to die before the infamous White Tribunal. Tradain liMarchborg, whose father was destroyed by false accusers, pawns his soul for a temporary power to take revenge. Disguised as a foreigner, with his time measured by the sands of a magical hourglass, he enters the capital, Lis Folaze, the stronghold of the Tribunal's power. A dark tale of vengeance often compared to The Count of Monte Cristo.
