Synopsis
In the thirteenth book of The Hollows series, Rachel Morgan has grown from an inexperienced runner into a day-walking demon who has weathered countless supernatural crises and crossed between the human world and the demonic ever after more than once. Facing what proves to be one of her most consequential challenges yet, Rachel confronts the idea that power demands responsibility and that world-changers must always pay a price for the choices they make. The novel follows Rachel as she works to protect Cincinnati's fragile balance between species and to safeguard those closest to her, forcing her to weigh what she is willing to risk, and to sacrifice, to keep her adopted city from unraveling.
