Synopsis
On Parengarenga, a largely desert, poor and thinly peopled continent, a combat school founded by the Nexus has survived for twenty thousand years. Its artificial intelligence trains students from the cities through virtual reality, though no Nexus ships or superweapons remain. The story follows the trainee Asodo Hatch, who is torn between loyalty to his family and people and the futile concerns of the school.
