Synopsis
The Younger Gods concludes the Dreamers series as a twenty-five-thousand-year cycle governing the Elder Gods' rule over Dhrall nears its end, adding a layer of cosmic stakes to the ongoing war against the Vlagh that has run through the previous three books. With the mercenary captains, Dreamers, and Elder Gods having weathered three successive invasions across the earlier novels, the final volume brings the long war to its climax while also addressing the succession of power among the gods themselves as the current cycle draws to a close. The novel closes out the series' pattern of escalating, dream-guided battles against the Vlagh with the highest stakes yet, both for Dhrall's mortal defenders and for the god-figures who have guided them.
