Synopsis
Firekeeper has lived all her life among a pack of intelligent, magically gifted wolves, who promised her mother years ago that they would one day send her back to the human world. That day has come. Earl Kestrel brings her to a kingdom whose throne has no clear heir, and some of the people she meets believe she may be the lost royal child. Learning human customs proves harder than she expected, and many nobles dismiss her as a freak. With her tutor Derian Carter, her wolf brother Blind Seer and the falcon Elation beside her, she finds that the scheming of the court is familiar from the pack, and that her view of it may be more useful than anyone guessed.
