Synopsis
The second half of the epic begun in Time of Daughters I. Two princes who have just left the military academy find themselves facing raids on the border and threats from within their own kingdom. The women of the story are drawn into the fighting as well, and the author sums the book up as a story in which women go to war and ghosts walk the walls. The conflict set in motion in the first volume comes to its conclusion across the royal city and the lands around it, with the families, armies and magic of the period all drawn into a single struggle.
