Synopsis
After the failed attack that ended the first book, long-dormant magic begins to stir across Sartorias-deles and the world's mages sense that the calm will not last. Jilo of Chwahirsland comes into possession of dangerous blood mage texts, eight hundred years old, and passes them to his friend Senrid. Every mage of Norsunder wants them. Meanwhile the renegade Siamis is hunted by both sides, and the searches for the texts and for him converge on Chwahirsland. The book is the second volume of Rise of the Alliance and is also published as Rise of the Alliance II.
