Synopsis
Tortall: A Spy's Guide is a full-color, behind-the-scenes guide to Tortall written by Tamora Pierce and presented as a collectible. Tortall's spymaster, George Cooper, has found documents from across the realm. These include letters from the early reign of King Jonathan and Queen Thayet, notes on creating the Shadow Service, threat profiles of favorite characters, and family papers. The guide also includes the first official timeline of Tortallan events. The publisher describes it as part history, part spy training manual. It was published by Random House Books for Young Readers in October 2017 with Julie Holderman, Timothy Liebe and Megan Messinger credited alongside Pierce.
