Synopsis
Tortall and Other Lands gathers eleven tales by Tamora Pierce, including three brand-new stories. Favorite and unfamiliar characters appear across the collection. Six of the stories are set in Tortall, featuring both new characters and familiar ones, and some were previously published. Four more are fantasy stories set elsewhere: one in a remote desert, two in an unknown town, and one in present-day New York City. A bonus non-fantasy story is set in contemporary Idaho. The book was published by Random House Books for Young Readers in 2011, so only part of its contents belongs to the Tortall setting, while the remaining stories take place in other lands or in the modern world.
