Synopsis

Transcendence continues the DemonWars Saga's second trilogy after Ascendance, following Brynn Dharielle, a young woman of the To-gai people first introduced in Mortalis, as she takes up a quest to free her people from the oppressive rule of the Behrenese kingdom. Her personal fight for To-gai's freedom unfolds against a backdrop of deeper tensions simmering throughout Corona, connected to the hidden heir and the elven schemes set in motion in Ascendance, as older conflicts left over from the saga's first trilogy continue to exert pressure on the present. The novel follows Brynn's struggle alongside the wider cast as these threads move toward the saga's approaching climax.

Publication order and internal chronology are tracked as two separate orderings and are never conflated: a book's place in one says nothing about its place in the other.

  • Publication order, within the series The DemonWars Saga: second trilogy: position 2 of 3: previous Ascendance (2001) · next Immortalis (2003)
  • Internal chronology, within The DemonWars Saga: position 6 of 7: previous Ascendance (2001) · next Immortalis (2003)
